→Review your finances for cost-reduction and cost-avoidance opportunities. How often are you engaging in luxury services? How often do you eat out? What memberships do you pay for that aren’t providing an equivalent ROI? When was the last time you checked in with your subscription services to see about getting a better rate? When was the last time you executed a comparative quote between your current services and alternative options?
→Set your accounts up for success. Do you have auto-pay set up where available? Do you have calendar events with reminders set up for bills not on auto-pay? Do you interact with your bank daily to ensure adequate balances for pending charges? When was the last time you shopped around for better rates or features on your credit cards? When was the last time you shopped around for banks? Does your current bank charge you transaction fees, or insufficient funds fees?
→Start planning today for tomorrow. Do you have a savings account set up and in use? Do you regularly check on your credit score for improvement opportunities? What percent of your income are you allocating to savings? Do you have some form of retirement fund actively in use? Do you have a budget in place and in use? Do you regularly forecast future revenue/income projections? What is your proven process for roadmapping out a new project in relation to your finances? How are you diversifying your monetary assets? What investments have you made?

Wellness tip of the month: Practice healthy sleep hygiene. Sleep hygiene refers to a series of healthy sleep habits that can improve your ability to fall asleep and stay asleep. Healthy sleep habits play a critical role in our overall health. Sleep deficiency is linked to many chronic health problems, including heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, stroke, obesity, and depression. Sleep deficiency is also linked to a higher chance of injury in adults, teens, and children. According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, there are a number of tips you can implement to establish healthy sleep habits. These include: Keep a consistent sleep schedule. Get up at the same time every day, even on weekends or during vacations. Set a bedtime that is early enough for you to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Don’t go to bed unless you are sleepy. If you don’t fall asleep after 20 minutes, get out of bed. Go do a quiet activity without a lot of light exposure. It is especially important to not get on electronics. Establish a relaxing bedtime routine. Use your bed only for sleep and sex. Make your bedroom quiet and relaxing. Keep the room at a comfortable, cool temperature. Limit exposure to bright light in the evenings. Turn off electronic devices at least 30 minutes before bedtime. Don’t eat a large meal before bedtime. If you are hungry at night, eat a light, healthy snack. Exercise regularly and maintain a healthy diet. Avoid consuming caffeine in the afternoon or evening. Avoid consuming alcohol before bedtime. Reduce your fluid intake before bedtime. Sweet dreams!
