December Article: This month's article is: Hiding in Plain Sight - Part I. Top performers and hidden talents are often overlooked for their consistency and alternative contributions. By weaving the core values of your business into the core of your business, you will illuminate and elevate the employees that operate with what’s best for the business at the forefront of every decision and action. December Challenge: I challenge you to reflect, refresh, and renew.
If you are interested in more content on these topics, we recommend reading our Is It Time to Refresh Your Business? article.
→Professionally: Reflect on your business from the highest level; business plan / VTO, 1/3/5 year goals, revenue streams, workflows, processes, financial planning, marketing strategy, departments / roles, target market(s), operating hours and internal scheduling, ad campaigns, networking efforts, collaboration opportunities, training and certifications, diversity initiatives, products / services, etc. Document any opportunities you come across during your reflection, even if you don’t have the solution yet. Refresh what you can on your own, and escalate the remaining opportunities to your executive level meeting agenda to vet out with your team(s). Renew all of the opportunities, as development allows, and implement supporting documentation and workflows.
→Personally: Reflect on your personal life from the highest level; physical health, mental health, energy levels, eating habits, home life, overall organization, daily schedule, work-life balance, relationship dynamics, family time, self care, spending habits, personal look, lifelong learning habits, personal development, etc. Make a list of all of the opportunities you come across in your personal life. For each opportunity, write out 3-5 action items you can implement over the next few weeks to refresh your life. Renew your opportunities by implementing the action items you wrote out, and make sure to follow through with anything you implement. Don’t try to implement too many changes at once, as that will be setting yourself up for failure. Be mindful of your reality, and overall bandwidth, and implement these changes as best fits with your individual scope of practice.
Stretch of the month: Bound Angle pose - this stretch improves postural and body awareness. Because it stretches your inner thigh muscles (adductors) and the front of your thighs (quadriceps), it can help you recover after running. It’s also a helpful pose for people who spend a lot of time sitting in chairs. Click the (external) link to learn more, or simply google "bound angle pose"!
Wellness tip of the month: As we enter the final month of 2023, and the last holiday season, most of us will find ourselves in a familiar stage; somewhere in between reminiscence and preparation. Holidays seasons are filled with activities and loved ones, and immerse us in warm fuzzy feelings and baked goods. Who wouldn't want to get lost in that dreamland? While it is important to soak these moments up, it is equally important to make space for YOU. Just as we must have boundaries, and honor our self care, in the day to day hustle and bustle, we must maintain those expectations even through the variable times, such as holidays. Make space this season to check in with yourself, to celebrate your individual wins, to analyze and learn from your individual mistakes, to center your whole self and find balance deep in your core. This holiday season, give yourself the gifts of time and self-love. And please hear me when I say, YOU DESERVE IT!!
"In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future, while the learned find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists." -Eric Hoffer
Thank you for being a pivotal part of our journey here at Crum Consulting. We would be nothing without you, and your continued support. 2024 brings about Crum Consulting's eighth year of guiding business owners on the road less traveled. The evolution of our journey has been one that our founder has carefully curated over the years to continue serving those we are passionate about helping in the most effective ways possible. With that, a letter from our Founder, Cole Crum:
"2023 has been an incredibly eye opening year for me as a business owner, a coach, and a human. As a direct result of our hand-picked clients, I have worked tirelessly to restructure my business to meet each of you exactly where you are, at any given time, with exactly what you need at that moment. We have launched a number of new services this year to accommodate exactly that:
Our new set of Team services has been making waves and getting raving feedback from stakeholders since its pre-launch, and continues to disrupt preconceived notions of team structure to date.
Training Program Development: Providing a comprehensive internal training program for your employees is a critical step to ensuring that your clients’ expectations are consistently exceeded.
Leadership Training: This program will introduce and explain methodologies to serve your leadership team in the most challenging circumstances, and will challenge and push your team to acknowledge the kind of leader they are, and the kind of leader they wish to become.
Incentive Program: Employee incentive programs secure the investment of your employees, and have also been known to improve productivity and loyalty, lower production and labor costs, encourage teamwork, and boost employee morale and motivation.
Meaningful Meetings: Company meetings are widely regarded as “a waste of time”, “too frequent”, “ineffective”, along with many other negative views. These views can be corrected by providing your employees with a structured, efficient, and engaging meeting format.
Workplace Safety: Workplace safety is a crucial aspect of any business operations, whether your business is an office setting, industrial, or remote. By investing in the safety of your employees and clients, you are also promoting loyalty and trust.
We are also proud to announce a new recurring service option to ensure that we truly are meeting our clients where they are. Our new Business Maintenance package is a perfect solution for our recurring clients that need a bit of breathing room for life or to catch up, but that don't want to lose their momentum or accountability with Crum Consulting. This new package spreads our recurring scope out to a quarterly basis, making it the perfect option for owners that need a break while the background work continues to happen. If you are an existing recurring client, or a previous client that has paused with us, please feel free to discuss this option with your advisor if you're interested in learning more.
Through rigorous continued learning, an unmatched proven process and business formula, and an insatiable passion to help those that need it most, Crum Consulting is coming into 2024 armed with a new arsenal of services, tools, solutions, automations, and skills to continue redefining the road less traveled. I am also bursting at the seams with pride to announce that we will be launching our new sister brand this coming year, that will be providing a variety of individual services to those we serve best; women, neurodivergents, and minority communities. This project has been years in the making, and will be coming to life right on time. Keep an eye out in 2024 for more details on this exciting launch from the Crum Consulting team.
Crum Consulting really wouldn't be the same without each and every one of you; your advocacy, support, referrals, feedback, dedication, and brand loyalty. Please take my most humble appreciation for each and every one of you. Thank you for being such a critical part of this journey with us. I don't know about you, but I am ecstatic to see what's next.
