September Article: This month's article is: Scaling through Accessibility - Part I. It can be incredibly tempting to scale your business by increasing your number of employees, opening a new location, onboarding a new product/service line, or even diversifying your products/services. While these strategies can be effective, they are also very time consuming and costly methods. There is a path of less resistance to explore first. Perhaps the most cost effective, and logical, next step would be to scale your business through accessibility. Taking your business from a local presence to a regional, national, or even global presence can be achieved by building a website for your business. If you have any questions surrounding this month's article, or would like to further explore opportunities, please feel free to reach out to schedule a session with us! You can reply directly here if we have worked together in the past. If you are a new client, please click here to fill out a consultation form, and we will be in touch to schedule a session with you.

September Challenge: I challenge you to shower yourself - mind, body and soul - with self-care!

Choose a minimum of 3 activities per category (feel free to come up with your own).
โ†’Mind: practice mindfulness, be present, take brain breaks, nurture your gray matter, make time to write out your thoughts throughout the day, quiet time, breathwork, meditate, engage in positive self-talk, use white/brown noise to reset your nervous system, implement a skin-care routine, partner with a therapist/life coach, do absolutely nothing on one day off
โ†’Body: take a nap, stretch/yoga daily to improve circulation and avoid injuries, get a massage, meal prep for clean eats during the week, add more fruits and veggies to your menu, exercise, increase your water intake, get a pedicure/manicure, get a facial, get your sleep cycle in sync with your circadian rhythm and wake up at the same time each day, get acupuncture/hot stones, try a new workout class, strengthen your core
โ†’Soul: laugh, make others laugh, immerse yourself in nature, engage in self-reflection, write your thoughts, connect with loved ones, turn on and up your favorite music, dance like no one is around, make a gratitude board and fill it up with what youโ€™re grateful for, go for a drive with the windows down, hand write a letter to someone, treat yourself, drive to a body of water and spend time reflecting on your life, tend your garden

Stretch of the month: Hero pose - this pose stretches the thighs, knees, and ankles, strengthens the arches, improves digestion and relieves gas, helps relieve the symptoms of menopause, reduces swelling of the legs during pregnancy (through second trimester), and is therapeutic for high blood pressure and asthma. Click the (external) link to learn more, or simply google "hero pose"!

Wellness tip of the month: Schedule your personal life with as much dedication and follow-through as you do with your professional life. These days, anyone who's been in the workforce for at least one year, is likely conditioned to live by their calendars. With the overwhelming amount of activities we commit to and engage in on a daily basis, it is almost impossible to remember everything without some kind of reminder and/or cue. This is true of both our personal and professional lives. Maybe you're already in the habit of scheduling your personal activities; especially as a parent that manages their professional and personal lives, along with their kids' schedules. But, what about the activities that are crucial to our wellbeing? When was the last time you scheduled a date with your significant other? What about scheduling a self-care day for yourself? How about scheduling lunch with a friend? Because we are already conditioned to living by our calendars, it is all-too-easy to let these crucial activities fall by the wayside when they are not displayed prominently on our calendar; whether we plum forget, or schedule over the agreed upon time with something else because it isn't visible on our scheduling tool (the calendar). Using the challenge above, schedule your activities on your calendar to make sure that you are honoring yourself as much as you do everyone and everything else. You're worth it!
